Thinking for a Change

Twelve Steps to a Renewed Mind

How do we change to see and think differently so that we can become the men and women God has called us to be and serve effectively in the ministry he has given us?

Bottom line: God wants us to put off the old man and fixating on our circumstances, and instead, put on the new man by looking to Christ. But as all of us have experienced, this is easier said than done!

Here are three of the 12 paradigms that we need to embrace for a more-fully renewed mind:

  • Read God’s Word regularly.Technology has brought the world to our fingertips. You can read magazines, newspapers, blogs, books and Facebook posts wherever a smart phone, iPad or Kindle can receive a signal. You can watch movies and endless YouTube videos without turning on the TV. Learn how to turn aside the assault of media overload and find encouragement, wisdom, and inspiration on a daily basis.
  • Run from negativity quickly. We live in a culture of extreme negativity, complaining, and discontent. Flee from these negatives in your life and into God’s presence. A mind focused on the negative will tear both you and others down, working against God and His purposes for your life, your family and your community. Learn how to organize your thoughts and find freedom from negativity.
  • Rest in Christ thoroughly. And overly busy life can squeeze the life from our hearts! And we’re not only busy, but we live life at the speed of light. Instant texting. Facebook posts. Racing here and there with our kids, filling up our schedules and our lives with activities. And worse, our culture is performance-oriented. Learn how to use rest as a weapon to vanquish the tyranny of busyness. Instead of always being driven by something, learn how to rest in someone — Christ.

Feel free to contact me by phone or email if there’s something different that you were hoping to find than what is offered here.  Also, your feedback is always welcome.

Sue’s Story

I've been a professional organizer most of my adult life. Who I am and why I love my work comes from how I was raised and the mysteries of DNA!

From the most humble of beginnings in Kentucky to helping businesses and organizations across the U.S., I always try my best to share both practical and inspirational principles and techniques.

I hope you enjoy your visit here and come back often. And feel free to call or email anytime.

Even though you might reach me on my porch looking out at the Colorado Rockies, a born and bred Kentucky girl enjoys a good chat.
