I have been a professional organizer for 35 years working in 46 states, England and Germany with corporations, hospitals, associations, manufacturing, government agencies, non-profits and churches, helping them to bring order in their working environment.
I have seen everything!
I help my clients to eliminate clutter, save time, reduce stress, bring clarity, help them focus, and also create space.
But creating space does not only pertain to their stuff, it also means creating space in their schedule, their sanity, their spirit and their soul. But to create space in all of our lives we must eliminate the non-essentials, the peripheral, the non-important (I mean why do we need so many margarine tubs?).
When you create space in all aspects of your life, you create margin and margin is: room to breathe, space in your closet, time off in your schedule, self-control in your emotions, and time to nurture your relationships. Margin is saying “No” to how technology eats up your time, living in a thankful attitude and being content.
The opposite of margin is stuff, and we stuff our closets, schedules, emotions, relationships, homes and offices with stuff every minute of our day.
So instead of focusing on more, lets focus on margin. When you do, you will create more space, and this will immediately allow the Lord room to move more effectively in your heart and spirit.
Creating space- creating margin for the Master. Now that is the way to live!
