Do You Have a Valid ID?

I am learning much about the Kingdom of God and how the Lord wants me to walk in His ways and wisdom.

I am discovering my true ID from the perspective of the Kingdom of God, and it has very little to do with what I do for a living.

I am discovering that my ID consists of I and D or my Identity and my Destiny.

My Identity is who I am in Christ. As a result of being a follower of Jesus, He has given me an Identity in Him, and that Identity has nothing to do with what I can do for him but has everything to do with what He has already done for me.

For example, according to the definition of my Identity in the Bible and through Christ, I am redeemed, justified, adopted, accepted, loved, adored, reconciled to God, a saint, God’s workmanship, a citizen of heaven and a new creation.

Whoa! All that, and I didn’t work a day for those benefits. God gave them to me when I became born again. As a result of those benefits, I can live on cloud nine and soar through my problems because I know God has His hand in all aspects of my life and is directing and guiding my way.

My Destiny is what I do through Christ and it consists of my gifting, anointing, experiences, my education, training, calling, my desires, goals, my past and how God wired me (DNA).

I love teaching people how to organize their purpose, priorities, projects, plans and place. That’s my DNA and my Destiny. Establishing order in every aspect of people’s lives, so that they can live life more fully and operate in their purpose more effectively. That would be me.

But here’s the catch. To walk firmly and properly in God’s ways, your Destiny has to come from your Identity. If you get it the other way around, your priorities, your plans will become your god. That’s idolatry and it doesn’t work with God.

Here’s the order: the first commandment then the second
commandment. Be embraced by God before you become empowered by Him.

Be His workmanship then be His workman. It’s the Kingdom way and it works!

Do you have a valid ID? Do you know where you came from, why you are here and where you are going?

If not, the One who made you can show you His plan for your life. When you align with His Design (His Identity and Destiny for you) I guarantee you it will be awesome!
