From Disappointment to Discovering Your “Afterward”

Have you been disappointed by your circumstances? Have things just not worked out as you hoped? Are you experiencing feelings of disillusionment, defeat or despair? Do you just not want to go on?

Disappointment can kill your hope, health and even your home but it doesn’t have to. You can find hope (his appointment) in scripture.

Have you discovered your “afterward”?

Look at Hebrews 12:10-11:

Our fathers discipline us for a little while as they thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in His holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time but painful. But “afterward” it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

WOW! That’s a mouthful! What is the “afterward”? Holiness, righteousness and peace. In other words, there is an upgrade coming in your disappointment. God has a portion of His Nature that He wants to impart to you to transform your character and your thinking.

Attached to every circumstance in your life is a provision from His heart that He wants to give to you so that you can effectively challenge the upcoming circumstances that you will face in the future.

Your difficulty is not your defeat. Your disappointment is not despair. Your failure is not final.

Turn from the pain and see the gain. Out of your heartache will come healing. God is whom your heart is bursting toward, and He will bring deliverance in His timing.

Sue’s Story

I've been a professional organizer most of my adult life. Who I am and why I love my work comes from how I was raised and the mysteries of DNA!

From the most humble of beginnings in Kentucky to helping businesses and organizations across the U.S., I always try my best to share both practical and inspirational principles and techniques.

I hope you enjoy your visit here and come back often. And feel free to call or email anytime.

Even though you might reach me on my porch looking out at the Colorado Rockies, a born and bred Kentucky girl enjoys a good chat.
