I am realizing more every day that God never intended to have us live just saved. What do I mean by that? I mean he never just wanted us just accepting Christ, getting baptized, going to church, reading our Bibles and being good people. Don’t get me wrong. He loves that we do that, but that’s not all he intended for us. His purposes for us go deeper.
He intended us to live supernaturally.
What does that mean?
It means hearing his voice, experiencing encounters with him through revelation from his word and words spoken to our hearts by the Holy Spirit. It means signs, wonders and miracles. They can be awesome like when you pray for someone to be healed, and they are healed, or you are healed. They can be personal encounters/revelations straight from the heart of God just for you. However he chooses to approach you, speak to you, or use you, these are encounters that he wants you to experience. He wants to meet you, bless you, comfort you, and, yes, even confront you. Why? Because you are His child created by His hand and He wants to spend time with you.
So, are
you living just saved or are you experiencing the supernatural? If you
have not had an encounter with the Lord recently, ask Him for one. He
loves to lavish His Presence on His kids.
Take Christmas, for instance. God invaded mankind with his Presence in the form of a child, the very Word of God made flesh, and everything changed. Darkness was overcome with Light. Gloom was conquered by hope. Death was swallowed up in this One Encounter from heaven to earth, and we are forever changed.
May your Christmas be filled with Christ.
