Every so often we need to refresh ourselves on the basics. Sometimes, a truth goes beyond basics to a foundational principle. Here’s one that fits the bill:
Assign a place for everything.
This simple truth can ease the stress of daily life at work and at home if we know how to apply the term assign. Here’s my favorite definition: “To set apart for a particular purpose.”
The place we store our stuff should be purposeful and help us achieve a specific goal.
From drawer dividers to stackable shoe boxes to lazy susans – assigning a place for everything does not have to be expensive, just functional.
And why not turn an unused metal 3-tiered paper tray into an organizer for baking dishes like a gal in Virginia did?
