I love the Urban Dictionary’s definition for Break bread: “to affirm trust, confidence, and comfort with an individual or group of people. Breaking bread has a notation of friendliness and informality, derived from the original meaning regarding sharing the loaf.”
Breaking bread is one of the great blessings of being a professional organizer. These past five weeks brought an exciting month of travel, speaking and refreshment in Texas, Maryland, Kentucky and Colorado. I was blessed with the opportunity to impact the lives of over 300 women from every corner of the country.
When I spoke at First Place 4 Health’s Wellness Week and Sandy Cove Ministries’ Women’s Conference, I gave presentations on organizing your office, home, children and life. To find out more about this presentation, check out A Time and Place for Everything.
At every point in my travels, we shared great food and meaningful fellowship. The Lord moved in a beautiful way and touched many of the women I spent time with. What blessed me most were the awesome private consulting sessions I had with a number of them.
If you ever want to get away for a personal retreat and a special quiet time, or if you want a beautiful place to take the family for a week or weekend, check out Round Top Retreat in Round Top, Texas, at roundtopretreat.org and Sandy Cove Ministries in North East, MD, at www.sandycove.org. Kudos all around!
